Herland Report: Bestselling author, Hanne Nabintu Herland’s book New Left Tyranny. The Authoritarian destruction of our Way of Life explains how the Western transformed from nation states with accountability, stability, prosperous economies to divided, rootless and hedonist subgroups without national unity:
How did we break apart in such a dramatic manner? Hatred and strife is now hailed as the way to move forward, destruction of private property by gangs and rioters described as the wished for progress, old values and traditions scorned. I examine the role of religion in this article.
The 20th century introduced Marxist, atheist emptiness to the masses in the West. It may be argued that with it came the notion of life as a meaningless burden.
With no heaven ahead and no hell to fear, the conscience was deemed an unnecessary relic from the past. The empirically observable was to be considered real, eternity a non-existent possibility.
This paved the way for the current sole focus on the material dimension, on hedonism and pleasure as life’s goal, and selfishness hailed as an ideal.

WND Editor’s note: At the very pinnacle of economic crisis, bestselling author, historian and WND columnist Hanne Nabintu Herland is out with a new book, “New Left Tyranny. The Authoritarian Destruction of Our Way of Life.”
“New Left Tyranny” shows how the neo-Marxist New Left turned their back on historical Western principles and became a destructive authoritarian force. By systematically attacking traditional values and inciting hateful Identity Politics, along with abandoning the working class, they created a dysfunctional society. It is characterized by social anarchy, selfishness and a lack of personal responsibility.
New Left Tyranny: Love is the Remedy for Hatred: Atheism has taught the past Western generations that the search for the meaning of life in religion is a dead end.
Traditional values, precisely those that made the Western civilization such a massive success, are to be scorned, hated and abandoned. This is what the young are taught at our universities.
The message has since the New Left, neo-Marxist student revolutions in the 1960s, been that free sex, legalizing drugs, abortion, breaking up the traditional family, demonizing Christianity, opting for a borderless society without ethical boundaries is the way to acquire mental balance, happiness and contentment in life.

The atheist gospel was that Marx brings an atheist Utopian system in which religion is no longer needed.
It may be argued that this massive atheist push has removed the collective ability and knowledge of how to acquire mental peace. As the level of reality beyond empirical science now is dead to the young minds of America, hatred and division seems to consume us.
In the quest to implement materialism and self-indulgence as the road to happiness, the very meaning of life – namely to love one another and not only oneself – got lost.
The booming suicide epidemic in the West is but one of the effects of this trend.
“Fear not” is often a central sentence prior to the entry of the peace of God. And it is fear, anguish, and an excruciating discomfort that characterizes the peaceless heart. The central Christian dogmas were able to pave the way for existential inner peace.
Today, drugs and a broad variety of narcotics is introduced to society, both in the form of prescription drugs as well as illicit drugs. It is a multi-billion-dollar industry. It serves the purpose of bestowing upon its users a few hours of peace.
Sex as a drug becomes a similar type of remedy, also prescribed today as a quick fix that lifts the pain of life for a few seconds. In the age of atheism, its New Left apostles have been very careful to hide away and chronically demonize the recipe to the lasting peace of God, depriving whole generations of its bliss.
Rich, white millennials simply do not find a reason to live. Tormented by mental anguish, the chronic inner pain and discomfort becomes so excruciating that suicide is perceived as the only way out.
As Mother Maria of Paris asserted, when life is not illumined with love, it becomes an abomination and a heavy burden.
“The most important thing that happens between God and the human soul is to love and to be loved,” wrote the Greek Orthodox Kallistos Kataphygiotis.
To love means to give to another, to treat others the same way you wish for others to treat you. Love is not self-contained; it gives that which is good to the best of its ability to another human being or living creature. It is the very aim of our existence and the path to peace.
Friederich Nietzsche is a founding father of the atheist revolt against the love of God, famously proclaiming that “God is dead”.
His aim was to cut off the human bond from the source of peace for the human race. He probably would not have worded it that way, but this is what he accomplished.
The conscience was deemed relics from the past, that should not be listened to, Nietzsche professed, idealizing the borderless life with sensual pleasures. Above us, the sky is empty, the concept of God died as man deemed the unseen world as non-existent. No one watches us, no one cares, there is no afterlife, God will not judge you.
Christianity teaches that Christ opened the door to the possibility of love. The entry into peace is not the end, but the starting point.
The spiritual birth is a beginning of the journey towards accomplishing his commandment summed up in two parts: Love God and love your fellow human beings. Make the world a better place for others to the best of your ability every day.
