The American System, an economic philosophy developed by Alexander Hamilton, advanced by Abraham Lincoln and William McKinley, and suppressed for over a century, was the foundation upon which the United States, the most powerful industrial nation in history was built.
Restoring the American System: Hamilton’s system placed significant emphasis on the government’s role in ensuring a good environment for the flourishing of productive industry.
It implemented measures such as barriers to foreign dumping of cheap goods, the availability of low-cost credit, and supportive physical infrastructure, writes Promethean Action in a new pamphlet, explaining how President Trump is in the process of dismantling the globalist free trade system that has massively benefitted the ultra-rich and impoverished the regular American citizen.
Restoring the American System: The fundamental premise underlying this American System is found in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, which asserts that human beings are not merely “animals” or playthings of an all powerful oligarchy.
The American system firmly believed that each citizen is “endowed by the Creator with unalienable rights,” and thus possesses the capacity to act for the benefit of the world. The government’s role is to facilitate this process, not solely benefitting the ultra-rich and the oligarch elites that formed the old British Imperial system.
Promethean Action points out that since the birth of the United States, the “the enemy of the
American System was the British System of free trade and exploitation.” The globalist British System is an antithesis of the American one.

Restoring the American System: President Trump and his administration are engaged in a policy of restoration of the American System, in opposition to the heirs of the former British Empire, which implemented the now fading globalist system that has looted the middle-classes in the West and enriched the oligarch elites. Trump stated in Louisville, March 20, 2017 that: “For too long our government has abandoned the American System.”
The Western globalist system that has dominated and flourished in the West since the mid 1980s, has been supported by a complex of foundations and think tanks, mega-corporations, banks and cartels that have exercised massive control over military production, food, pharmaceuticals and within other fields.
Intelligence services, mainstream media, academic institutions, and the U.S. government and other Western nations have been significantly influenced by these entities.
As pointed out in my 2025 book, Trump, The Battle for America 2025 Edition,over 90 % of the US media is owned by only 6 corporations with widespread interest in the development of a globalist, transnational capitalist system that profits from lack of national sovereignty. The globalist business model is dependent on weak nation states, that easily may be overrun by global corporations that crush the middle class and local businesses.
And globalism has worked, it has reinforced an international economic model that departs from the nation-based capitalist system. Globalism has produced a system in which around 50 individuals now own over 50 % of world assets, only made possible by the transnational business model that refuses to redistribute wealth when outsourcing jobs to China and other cheap labor countries.
Vice President JD Vance explained it this way at the American Dynamism Summit in March, 2025: “Whether we were offshoring factories to cheap labor economies or importing cheap labor through our immigration system, cheap labor became the drug of Western economies. And I’d say that if you look in nearly every country, from Canada to the UK, that imported large amounts of cheap labor, you’ve seen productivity stagnate.”
“There were two conceits that our leadership class had when it came to globalization. The first is assuming that we can separate the making of things from the design of things. It turns out that the geographies that do the manufacturing get awfully good at the designing of things. We were squeezed from both ends.”
“When our factories disappear and the jobs in those factories go overseas, American workers are faced not only with financial insecurity, they’re also faced with a profound loss of personal and communal identity.”
Restoring the American System: Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent recently put it this way at the Economic Club of Dallas, February 20, 2026: “From the earliest days of the Republic, our Founding Fathers understood that independence required economic security. The ability to produce essential goods, sustain public credit, and foster domestic industry was seen as the foundation of sovereignty by Alexander Hamilton. And it still is.”
“With the ‘China Shock’ of the 21st century, strategic industries were hollowed out, supply chains consolidated overseas, and we became wholly dependent on single foreign suppliers within certain sectors. In just over a decade between 1999 and 2011, the United States lost nearly six million manufacturing jobs. That led to not only employment loss and wage depression, but also to diminished productive capacity and resilience.”
The election of President Donald Trump and his appointed team are finally equipped to tackle the challenges that globalism has created and restore a more just system in which all citizens benefit, not only the elite.
This economic restoration is accompanied by a cultural rejuvenation of the country, Promethean Action points out. A growing number of Americans are exhibiting a rejection of the materialism and anti-human programming that has been instilled in them for decades.
This rejection is characterised by a departure from the doom cult of climate change, the denial of human greatness so characteristic for contemporary nihilism, and the negative view of the future. In the aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a significant number of young people are returning to religious services and engaging in the study of the Bible.
The reconstruction of the moral and spiritual strength is imperative, not solely in order to vanquish the hedonism preached by the globalists, but also to competently confront the cultural challenges ahead.
