Trump speech in Davos: Booming U.S. economy and surging growth while socialist Europe remains weakened

The spectacular turnaround of U.S. economy after one year into U.S. President Donald Trump’s second term was celebrated in his recent Davos 2026 speech.

President Trump gave a detailed account of the booming U.S. economy characterized by surging growth, productivity, investment, and rising incomes.

Trump speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos: Inflation has been defeated, the U.S. southern border is now closed and secure with 97 % less illegal immigrants arriving. Core inflation has stabilized at 1.6% over the past three months and fourth-quarter economic growth projected at 5.4%, surpassing most predictions. There are dramatic reductions in inflation, grocery prices, airfares, mortgage rates, rent, and car payments since Trump took office.

President Trump reminded the Davos audience that many experts predicted his economic approach would cause global recession and inflation, but contends the opposite has occurred—an “American transformation” unseen in a century.

The stock market has set 52 all-time highs since the election, adding $9 trillion in wealth to retirement accounts. Over 1.2 million people have been lifted off food stamps. Trump has signed an executive order banning large institutional investors, such as Blackrock, from buying single-family homes to protect housing affordability for individuals.

Investment commitments have soared to an estimated $18-20 trillion, a historical record vastly exceeding Biden-era investment totals. He positions the U.S. as the “economic engine of the planet,” emphasizing global economic interdependence.

President Trump labelled the Green New Deal which Europe has embraced as “the greatest hoax in history,” blaming it for energy shortages, high prices, and economic decline in Europe. The Trump administration continues its strong criticism of Western green energy policies and mass immigration as contributors to economic and social decline in Europe and the U.S.

The World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland is a global platform where billionaire business leaders meet with elected politicians in order to influence national state matters and how state funds are used. The aim is stakeholder capitalism, where globalist investors wield power over nation states.

Trump speech in Davos: Trump credits decisive, growth-focused policies for reversing economic stagnation and inflation experienced under the previous administration.

He positions U.S. economic strength as a global engine whose success benefits worldwide markets and alliances.

President Trump used the Davos opportunity to criticize the socialist-globalist European economic policies, advocating for his own conservative economic model.

While European states have chosen the socialist model by increasing government spending, allowing mass migration, reliance on foreign imports, outsourcing of European heavy industry, and costly green energy policies, referred to as the “green new scam”. Trump attributes record budget and trade deficits, mass migration, and weakening societies in the West to these socialist policies.

Trump speech in Davos: In his speech, the President highlighted the U.S. specific policy reversals and compared the current American trajectory to the regressive situation in Europe. The U.S. is reopening energy plants, halting ineffective wind projects, firing bureaucrats who do not serve a specific purpose, 270,000 job cuts, the largest since WWII, as well as cutting federal spending by $100 billion, and reducing the federal deficit by 27%.

Regulatory reforms with 129 regulations cut for every new one added, far exceeds his initial promise.

The historic tax cuts are well known, including elimination of taxes on tips, overtime, and social security for seniors, alongside 100% immediate expensing for business investments to encourage domestic production.

Domestic steel production has grown by 300,000 tons monthly, expected to double or triple soon, with new plants across the country. Factory construction is up 41%, with accelerated approval processes. Historic trade deals secured with partners representing 40% of U.S. trade, including European nations, Japan, and South Korea—boosting global growth and stock markets. There is an unprecedented foreign investment ($18 trillion) and industrial resurgence in the U.S. now, including new car plants from various countries relocating to the U.S.

President Trump is completely changing the U.S. energy policy. Under Biden new oil and gas leases dropped 95%, gas prices peaked over $5/gallon, but now fall below $2.50, with some states $1.95. U.S. natural gas production hit all-time highs; oil production increased by 730,000 barrels/day; acquired 50 million barrels from Venezuela with cooperative agreements.

Trump speech in Davos: Nuclear energy embraced with new reactor approvals and improved safety, marking a shift from initial scepticism. AI leadership emphasized, with large energy demands met by companies building their own power plants, bypassing grid limitations.

President Trump labelled the Green New Deal which Europe has embraced as “the greatest hoax in history,” blaming it for energy shortages, high prices, and economic decline in Europe. Germany’s electricity generation is down by 22% since 2017; UK produces only one-third of 1999 energy despite vast North Sea reserves, hindered by environmental restrictions and high taxation on oil companies. Electricity prices in Europe have surged dramatically, for example in the UK by 139%, Germany by 64%.

He noted the paradox that China manufactures most windmills, but does not heavily use wind energy domestically, relying instead on coal, oil, gas, and some nuclear. Windmills destroy landscapes and wildlife, especially birds, and are economically detrimental to countries that rely on them.

The “most favored nation” policy has been introduced to reduce prescription drug prices by up to 90%, achieved through international negotiations backed by tariff threats. Trump explained how previous U.S. overpayment for drugs were subsidized by other countries paying less; he is now forcing those countries to raise prices closer to U.S. levels.

Domestically, the Trump administration has focused on affordability, fairness, and reducing burdens on American families through housing reforms, drug price cuts, and credit regulation.

Trump has also signed an executive order banning large globalist, institutional investors from buying single-family homes to protect housing affordability for individuals. The President expressed deep concern about protecting homeowners by balancing housing affordability with preserving property values.

The globalist Blackrock strategy to buy up family homes, then renting these out to families who are unable to pay their mortgage as owners, has been a long-term strategy for some time.

Trump has also proposed capping credit card interest rates at 10% for one year to help Americans save for down payments, addressing excessive rates (28-32%). He also enacted the Genius Act to maintain U.S. leadership in cryptocurrencies and blockchain, aiming to prevent China from dominating this market.

Trump also announced government-backed purchase of $200 billion in mortgage bonds to lower interest rates; plans to appoint a new Federal Reserve chairman.

He openly criticized current Federal Reserve policies that raise interest rates in response to growth, which he argued suppress success and growth. Trump advocated for returning to a system where positive economic news leads to stock market gains.

Rebuilding and modernizing the U.S. military was portrayed as vital to maintaining global stability and deterring adversaries.

The President noted the recent trend of reverse migration in 2025, the first in 50 years, with criminals being deported and crime rates dropping significantly in multiple U.S. cities. He praised federal efforts to crack down on fraud and drug smuggling, including intercepting drug submarines and reducing maritime drug trafficking by 97.2%.

President Trump was blunt in his critique of mass importation of foreign cultures ill-equipped to assimilate, citing Somali immigrants as an example. The horrific Somali fraud in Minnesota now exceeds 19 billion USD, according to reports.

The President ended his speech by calling for cultural renewal and defence of traditional Western values as foundational to long-term prosperity and stability. He asserted that Western prosperity stems from a shared culture inherited from Europe and America, which must be defended and revitalized.
