What Europe needs is a MEGA movement—Make Europe Great Again—with a new non-Marxist political elite that may do what its counterpart is accomplishing in the United States: A complete overhaul of department expenditure, how taxpayer money is spent, uncovering corruption, waste and abuse, and correcting the system, so that the needs of Europe’s citizens are no longer neglected.

Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orbán organization, “Patriots for Europe”, in the quest to boost conservatism in Europe. The alliance, formed with Herbert Kickl, the leader of Austria’s Freedom party, and Andrej Babiš, the former prime minister of Czechia, is set to shape the return of conservativism in Europe.
While EU is determined by Marxist-socialist values, Orbán asserts that the breaking-up of the traditional, historical values that once made the West such a great civilization, is the wrong move. He suggests for Europe to change its course, and insists that at least Hungary will do so, and push for national sovereignty and a strong nation state with traditional, Christian values, writes Hanne Nabintu Herland, historian of religions, bestselling author, and columnist at World Net Daily, WND, USA’s largest conservative news network. What Europe needs is a conservative MEGA movement: Naturally, such an approach clashes with the socialist, atheist EU cultural approach that has weakened Europe for decades. “What Europeans want is three things: peace, order and development,” Orbán said. “And what they are getting from the elite in Brussels today is war, migration and stagnation.”
Reconstructing classical European values is key to retaking leadership as natives in Europe, said bestselling author and commentator, Douglas Murray at the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship Conference in Great Britain 2025. He pointed out that we have said to several generations of young Europeans that we do not have anything great, there is nothing much to be proud of in Europe, and if we find something, we should not talk about it too much.

A conservative MEGA movement: This is flat out wrong, Murray points out. What we have is the greatest civilization that the world has known. The choice is now whether to remain living in the wastelands of Marxist deconstruction or rebuild our society. We have the opportunity to restore our culture.
The Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) is one of several recent initiatives that garner support among the many conservatives in Europe. It was launched by Jordan Peterson in 2023 and includes intellectuals such as Arthur Brooks, Niall Ferguson, Bjorn Lomborg as well as 30 individuals on its organizing committee. ARC’s CEO and co-founder is Baroness Philippa Stroud.
Douglas asserted that: “I would like to suggest a name for the age that we should be in and the age that this conference can help bring in. The age of reconstruction. We should be The Reconstructionists. The deconstructionists knew something about how to take things apart but like children with bicycles had no idea how to put them back together.”
As Murray outlined the failures of the Marxist deconstruction theories that Europe has pursued for decades, he suggested its antitheses, namely that Europeans should put the civilization back together, renew their pride in the accomplishments of classical, Western civilization, lift their heads and stop the cultural self-destruction, – and embark on the age of reconstruction.
The surge of voters to the conservative European parties further suggests that the tide is turning away from the failed socialist narrative not only in the United States, but also in Europe.
As a long-term writer in the largest newspapers in Norway, I tried a few years ago to introduce the idea of “welcome law-abiding immigrants” versus “unwelcome criminal immigrants.” My goal was to create awareness about our need to make law-abiding immigrants feel welcome while punishing much harder those who break the law. My work was completely futile, as the currently state controlled Norwegian media is completely submerged in the outdated socialist ideology, the very ideology that is about to destroy Europe as we know it.

While it is incomprehensible to the outdated European leaders that the U.S. could transform its economy in just one year, it may be timely to remind the European socialists about the forgotten values that once made Europe great.
The success recipe that transformed the West into an explosive, world-leading civilization is summed up in one word: Conservatism.
Conservatism is defined as a political philosophy based on traditions, historical values and social stability, with an emphasis on independent institutions and a limited government. There is a preference for gradual change rather than Marxist, bloody riots and violent revolutions.
Conservatism promotes private ownership, private property rights, individualism, freedom of expression and religion, and the worker’s right to own the fruits of his own labor. With low taxes, individuals are free to choose how they want to spend their hard-earned money.
The government should not control individual finances, property, nor life choices like what is happening across Europe today. We need MEGA.
