Somali Medicaid fraud and within other branches in Minnesota is a symptom of a larger nationwide fraud problem involving immigrants, NGOs, and American enablers. Organizations like Blue Cross may have inadvertently or deliberately facilitated fraud by encouraging Somali daycare startups without adequate oversight.
It is estimated that over 10 billion USD have gone to fraudulent projects. Disability and food stamp fraud are widespread, costly, and politically sensitive issues, with systemic incentives and normalization of dependency fueling abuse.
Massive Somali Fraud in Minnesota: A closer look shows that the fraud extends beyond Somali immigrants to a broader network of Americans and organizations benefiting from or enabling the scams. It is of vital importance to investigate not just Somali fraudsters but also the NGOs and facilitators who set up and fund these businesses, questioning their knowledge or complicity in the fraud.

Massive Somali Fraud in Minnesota: The widespread fraud involving the Somali immigrant community in Minnesota, was recently discussed in a Matt Walch Show, describing it as part of a much larger, nationwide problem of systemic fraud harming taxpayers.
The average Somali immigrant in Minnesota has an IQ around 68, attributing this partly to inbreeding and the war-torn conditions in Somalia. Despite low IQ, Somalis have managed to defraud taxpayers of hundreds of millions in Minnesota through daycare and Medicaid scams.

Massive Somali Fraud in Minnesota: The fraud schemes are described as unsophisticated (e.g., misspelled signs, empty daycares), yet they succeeded in extracting large sums. The host questions how such low-IQ individuals could organize complex fraud independently, suggesting outside assistance was crucial.
Investigation reveals that organizations like Blue Cross, which administer Medicaid in Minnesota, actively encouraged Somali immigrants to start daycare businesses.
Blue Cross produced instructional videos (including a Somali-language version) specifically targeting Somalis to establish family childcare businesses that preserve Somali culture.
Notably, these videos exclusively feature Somali individuals and no white people, raising questions about racial targeting and exclusion.
It is highly unusual that Blue Cross would promote Somali-only daycare centers despite many Somalis not working and being welfare recipients. As President Trump recently pointed out on X, 71.9 % among Somalis live on American welfare and are not working to contribute to the American economy.
It is questioned whether Blue Cross noticed the massive Medicaid fraud occurring through these daycare centers, which included fraudulent autism claims that ballooned Medicaid spending from $3 million to nearly $400 million. A theory is proposed that increased Medicaid fraud may have financially benefited Blue Cross through higher claim volumes and associated administrative fees, creating a perverse incentive to allow or even encourage fraud.
Another organization, Child Care Wayfinder, funded by the state, helps Somali immigrants establish and fund daycare centers.
It is of vital importance to investigate not just Somali fraudsters but also the NGOs and facilitators who set up and fund these businesses, questioning their knowledge or complicity in the fraud. Amy Bach, a white nonprofit director involved in the “Feeding Our Future” fraud scheme, was a key middleman linking Somali entrepreneurs to this racket. She was connected to 47 daycare centers and was arrested for fraud involving hundreds of millions of dollars.
The fraud thereby extends beyond Somali immigrants to a broader network of Americans and organizations benefiting from or enabling the scams.
Massive Somali Fraud in Minnesota: For example, Graham Platner, a Democrat Senate candidate from Maine, as a case study for disability fraud. Platner holds a 100% disability rating from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) due to military service but continues to work full-time as an oyster farmer and harbor master.
The host argues it is illogical and improper for someone 100% disabled to hold demanding jobs and receive substantial taxpayer-funded disability benefits (~$60,000/year).
The example illustrates a wider problem of rampant disability fraud within the VA system, which consumes about 7% of federal taxes. The VA is described as operating on an “honor system” where disability claims are often accepted without rigorous verification, enabling fraud.
Statistics show 66% of SNAP (food stamp) recipients do not have children, amounting to about 26 million able-bodied adults receiving benefits. Legally, able-bodied adults without dependents should face work requirements to qualify, but many circumvent this by claiming unverifiable disabilities such as PTSD or chronic pain.
Doctors often sign off on these unverifiable conditions, allowing recipients to collect benefits without working. The scale of food stamp fraud far exceeds the Somali Medicaid fraud discussed earlier. This fraud is known but ignored, partly due to a political and academic trend to normalize disability and dependency.
A Harvard public health school speech is cited promoting disability as a normalized experience, with disability accommodations at Harvard rising from 3% in 2014 to 21% in 2024—matching national averages. This may be viewed as a deliberate effort to create a generation dependent on government support, undermining rugged individualism.
