The American Secret Governance System heading towards Financial Tyranny

The financial issues faced by the U.S. are symptoms of a deeper governance and transparency crisis. “The United States does not have a financial problem, but a secret governance system that is not transparent and is centralized in control.

We are seeing new and potentially wonderful digital technology used to centralize control in area after area, in all aspects of our life. The problem is not so much the digital tools themselves it’s with the secret governance system and how they decide to use it to achieve total central control of digital transactions.”

The American Secret Governance System: Investment banker Catherine Austin Fitts said this in a lecture at Hillsdale College about dangers of central bank digital currencies, and the future of programmable money, digital identity, and infrastructure forming a global control grid in delves into the dangers of central bank digital currencies. Fitts has had a life long career in finance and banking, and was the assistant secretary of housing under George H. W. Bush. She managed hundreds of billions of dollars in government money and ran a Wall Street investment bank, and was able to get candid insight into how the financial system operates in reality – which is far from the official, mainstream media reality, she says.

“There is an official reality and there is reality. You need to know both. Official reality is for the cocktail parties. Reality is for your investment, money and risk management. Don’t get those switched. I am going to talk to you about reality.” Modern digital monetary technology can be used as a tool for totalitarian control, not just for convenience or efficiency.

Decentralization and state sovereignty are essential bulwarks against centralized financial tyranny.  Existing federal financial laws are sufficient but are currently ignored or circumvented, and restoring them is critical.

The American Secret Governance System: The problem is characterized as a governance crisis, not a financial one. Fitts points out that since at least 1998, federal agencies have systematically violated financial management laws, leading to $21 trillion of missing or undocumented funds.

The timeline evolvement show that it was in fiscal 1998, that approximately $21 trillion went missing from federal financial accounts, primarily at the Department of Defense and HUD. Fitts speaks about this as a financial coup d’etat, as the missing money is not accidental but linked to intentional violations of federal financial management laws, codified through administrative policies like Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board Statement 56 (FASAB 56), which allows secretive handling of federal finances.

The American Secret Governance System: So, according to Fitts systematic violation of financial management laws began after 1998. In 2000, the “Red Button” problem – the reluctance to stop illicit financial flows due to fears of economic and political consequences – was addressed in a speech at Spiritual Frontiers Foundation International.  It explored societal reluctance to stop illicit financial flows.

2015 marks the last comprehensive calculation of the missing $21 trillion. Financial disclosures become largely meaningless post this date. In 2018 came the publication of “State of Our Currency” study, which highlighted the waning ability of dollar system to extract subsidies.

In 2019, central bankers met at Jackson Hole on “Going Direct Reset,” the plan to reset the global financial system; coordinated by retired central bankers. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic crisis makes it possible for the Fed to inject $5 trillion. The Monetary inflation benefits Wall Street, but shuts down Main Street.

Fitts explains that the federal bureaucracy is increasingly run by defense contractors and Big Tech, which report to central bankers and intelligence agencies rather than elected representatives. This shift undermines democratic governance and increases centralized, opaque control.

Emerging digital technologies, especially CBDCs, represent an unprecedented step toward total centralization and control of financial transactions. CBDCs are not just digital money but a control grid, enabling programmable money that can restrict or enable spending based on arbitrary rules set by central authorities.

Potential abuses include freezing bank accounts, imposing negative interest rates, direct taxation on accounts, and monitoring or controlling personal behavior through financial transactions.

The BIS, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, is the hub coordinating central banks worldwide (including the Federal Reserve and New York Fed) to implement CBDCs and digital monetary systems. Innovation hubs with sovereign immunity shield these operations from legal scrutiny.

The current financial system is undergoing a major reset, referred to as the “Going Direct Reset”, which follows historical patterns where central banks reconfigure monetary systems every several decades. This reset includes a shift from physical to fully digital currencies with expanded governmental control embedded.

Fitts explains how a global system integrating programmable money is in the roll-out, biometric digital IDs, and physical infrastructure such as data centers and satellites to control financial transactions and identities remotely. It involves currency embedded with rules controlling how, when, and where it can be spent, potentially linked to digital identities. In addition, biometric and cryptographic digital IDs connected to money and infrastructure, enabling precise control over individuals’ financial activities.

The American Secret Governance System: Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) now work as a global control grid. CBDCs are not merely new forms of currency, but tools for total centralized control over financial transactions, programmable money, and thus individual behavior.
