While the end of South African apartheid in 1994 promised progress in a multiracial democracy, the trajectory has reversed sharply since 2008, exacerbated by the African National Congress (ANC) Presidents Jacob Zuma and Cyril Ramophosa, says Rob Hersov in this explosive interview with Dave Rubin.
South Africa hatred against whites: He draws a parallel between South Africa today and Germany in 1933, suggesting a dangerous blend of international neglect and internal deterioration has left the ANC confident to allow the blatant display of hatred against whites as the rise of governance based on racial quotas rather than competence has undermined equality for all.
Hersov contrasts the relatively better conditions in the Western Cape—governed by the opposition Democratic Alliance—with widespread infrastructure decay, deteriorating public services, and declining living standards elsewhere in South Africa. He describes Johannesburg as a dramatically deteriorating city with the government neglecting essential services, many experiencing several hours a day without electricity like many other places in Africa in general.
South Africa now exhibits seven of the ten classical elements of genocide, signaling a deep socio-political crisis. Post-apartheid progress reversed by ANC policies favoring racial quotas, corruption, and economic decline since 2008. White farmers face disproportionately high violence, with rhetoric inciting escalation and fear of genocide.
South Africa hatred against whites: The country that used to be the forefront economic engine, driving growth and prosperity in the Africa South of Sahara region is now decaying under corruption, racism against its own white population, rampant violent crime that affects all its citizens and a Communist political elite soaked in corruption, where loyalty trumps merit, encouraging business and government complicity.
Today, there is a paralysis in addressing public service failures and infrastructure decline and indicates a broader pattern found in other fragile states.

South Africa hatred against whites: Hersov points out the irony that many of the affluent white South Africans who fought against apartheid in the early 1980s and earlier were prominent Jews.
A critical focus is placed on the violence against white farmers, who face disproportionately high risks, being murdered at rates three times that of police officers.
The current political rhetoric, especially from ANC leaders, is seen as paving the way toward mass violence against the South African white population, with the speaker warning of a genocidal environment if these trends continue unaddressed.
Hersov calls for urgent international attention, particularly from the United States, advocating for sanctions against corrupt officials and economic support to stabilize South Africa. The critique is a personal narrative about the emotional and physical toll of activism on families dealing with threats, underscoring the human cost of this crisis. He notes the influence of South African expatriates like Elon Musk raising awareness, highlighting the diaspora’s potential role in advocacy.
