President Trump’s foreign policy shift has ended the era of neoconservative endless regime change wars and shifted it to a pragmatic and deal-driven policy, focused on American security and prosperity rather than ideological interventionism.
The aim is now America First, whether it involves domestic action such as ending fraud, corruption or on the international stage, by weakening the enemies of the U.S.
Domestically, he has defunded and legally challenged the old neo/con regime-change organizations (NED, USAID). Trump’s economic agenda prioritizes revitalizing skilled labor and advanced industries, challenging orthodox free-market Republicanism.
America First: Internationally, significant achievements include brokering the Abraham Accords between Israel and several Arab nations (UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan), focusing on shared economic interests and technology. This is pointed out in a recent speech by Barbara Boyd, writer, paralegal and head of the Promethean Action who has tracked the imperial great game for decades.
The 2020 National Defense Strategy under Trump’s America First administration notably omitted China and Russia as primary Pentagon threats. Instead, it prioritized internal security threats such as immigration-related terrorism and drug cartel operations. The focus was shifted from the great powers (China/Russia) to domestic threats such as terrorists and cartels closer to home. Trump’s meeting with Xi Jinping and opening of military deconfliction channels with China is another such example.

America First: The policy emphasizes modernizing nuclear forces and building a “golden dome” missile defense focusing on homeland security. This shift reallocates millions of dollars from traditional great power competition to domestic security needs.
J.D. Vance has highlighted that Trump’s “America First” policy means working with Israel only when interests align. Trump applied leverage on Israel, threatening to cut funding if Israel did not support peace initiatives, illustrating that the U.S. held the upper hand.

America First: The Abraham Accords emerged from Trump’s strategy of economic cooperation to foster peace rather than traditional diplomatic theatrics. Trump’s popularity in Israel surpassed even Netanyahu’s, underscoring his unique diplomatic position.
The current internal Republican Party confusion and division, exemplified by the war of words between leading podcasters, reflects the lack of understanding as to what Trump really is doing. Locked inside the domestic bubble, several of these podcasters, such as Tucker Carlson, has insufficient knowledge about the international stage and its players.
Relying on third party sources makes these podcasters heavily susceptible to planted material by foreign agents, and “divide and conquer” strategies from covert Democrat power structures presented through informants of various caliber. If the third party information is believed to be true, the podcaster slips into a new role: He becomes the defender of Trump’s enemies, the spokesperson for division and defeat.
For example Tucker Carlson may be good at analysing elements within the domestic political scene and matters related to his old job at FOX where he basically read scripts on air, but when it comes to international matters he completely lacks the education, the skills, the knowledge and the respect for other nations. He simply does not know how the international scene operates and becomes “the useful idiot” to weaken America.
America First: Barbara Boyd comments on this topic, saying Carlson’s recent statements reflect a misunderstanding and internal conflict within the Republican movement. He incorrectly frames MAGA as a set of policy points detached from Trump personally.
Boyd argues that MAGA is inseparable from Trump himself, who embodies a unique historical and spiritual leadership, likened to Martin Luther King Jr.’s irreplaceable role in the civil rights movement. MAGA is a political movement centered on Donald Trump’s leadership and vision, emphasizing nationalism, economic revival, and sovereignty.
Trump’s leadership is committed to saving the republic and fighting for the “forgotten men and women.” It is comparable to Dr. Martin Luther King, whom many also said only was the head of a much larger movement. But when he died, the movement died. There were no replacement that could fill the void. Dr. Martin Luther King was truly a man of God.
President Trump emphasizes revitalizing American industry and creating highly skilled jobs to support families with a single income. He prioritizes revitalizing skilled labor and advanced industries, challenging orthodox free-market Republicanism. This contrasts with legacy Republicans who favor British free-market ideology, which is an economic model focused on minimal tariffs and free trade, contrasted with Trump’s protectionist tariff policies. His tariff policies are a key tool in protecting American workers and industries.
